HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND WISE! - Hwealthcafe - Review

Image
HWEALTHCAFE, NEW FRIENDS COLONY With modernisation, people have become more conscious about how they look on the outside and to maintain the same, they're conscious about what they put inside their bodies. Forget the good old medication to get your vitamins and minerals, people try to incorporate these nutrients within the meals they eat. But calorie counting on your own is a very difficult task. No matter how much you try, you'll end up adding just a few more spoonfuls of oil to make your food tasty. However, the folks at Hwealthcafe (Health Wealth Cafe) have taken exception to this! They're here to make your life easier, your food tastier and healthier. The concept behind Hwealthcafe is pretty basic. Make healthy food exciting AND make exciting food healthy! They have a strict calorie counting policy where they make sure every meal has a balance of all nutrients. There is no use of fat-rich components like cheese, cream, potatoes, all purpose flour (mai...

WE ARE YOUNG, WILD AND FREE - Review

Image
YOUNG WILD FREE CAFE, SATYANIKETAN Satyaniketan is now overburdened with responsibility. Given that it has its twin in GTB Nagar at North Campus, Satyaniketan has become the hub for eateries in South Campus of the University of Delhi. Everyday, thousands of students walk through the lanes of the market. New eateries pop up every other day and some fail miserably, but this one has made its presence known by probably combining everything good about the other cafes under one roof. THE AMBIENCE Young Wild Free Cafe is a tad bit hard to find, given that it is on the first floor right at the end of the lane at Satyaniketan. A narrow stairway that leads up to a slide up door is really underwhelming. The stairway leading up the cafe is squeaky and wobbles when you step on it, making you think you're going to fall. EXCITING EVEN BEFORE YOU ENTER! The cafe is rocking good high-bass music and is well lit with a yellow tone to the place. The walls are covered in many differ...

THE JUNCTION OF GOOD TIMES - Review

Image
THE JUNCTION, HAUZ KHAS When you're travelling from Dilli Haat at INA towards Hauz Khas Village, the road can look very distracting. Why? Because of the sights and sounds of The Junction. A beautifully lit sign that reads the name of the establishment along with a few others in the vicinity. The entrance to The Junction is a sight in itself, with an archway covered in flowers and a garden that opens up to the exteriors of the eateries. Graffiti laid walls and a tree with lanterns. The perfect place to get a date if you can. THE AMBIENCE The mood inside The Junction is a very rustic place, with minimal interior decoration. The concrete walls and pillars are left the way they are. No plastering on the walls gives he place a rugged look, perfect for the name of the place. However, if you are someone who wishes to see a good amount of beauty, the exteriors are well lit up and offer a freshness that the interiors may not, given the smoke of Hookah. But if you are with go...

TASHAN MEI! A PERFECT EXPERIENCE - Review

Image
TASHAN, GREATER KAILASH  From the moment you enter the busy M-Block Market at Greater Kailash, you're flooded by the bright lights of cafes and eateries all around the place. But from the vivid epileptic lights of the others, the quaint and subtle TASHAN calls you over and soothes your senses. The outside is well decorated with fairy lights and a sign that has just the right amount of light. THE AMBIENCE The mood inside the restaurant is calm as it could be. Leave any troubles you had outside the black-tainted doors and let the music prepare you for a pampering to come. The beige and cream interiors are a sight to see and contrast well with the bustling outdoors. There is a bar with a wall of bottles for decor and nothing over the top to distract you from the food. A proper fine dining experience is what you're in for. As soon as you enter, the waiters greet you like they know you from that one time back in class 5th when you went for an interschool competitio...
