The Perfect Indian and Asian Fusion: MASIA - Indian. Asia. Cultures, Noida Review

Image
MASIA -  SECTOR 38, NOIDA New Delhi, and the NCR, is no stranger to the influx of gastronomical inputs from other parts of the world. We have embraced whatever cultural inputs we've had from the various cuisines. But one particular cuisine has hit us hard ever since late 2000s. Before the Italian, Portuguese, American Tex-Mex, or even Middle-Eastern foods came to the streets of Delhi, there was good old Asian. Remembering the street side stalls of vendors tossing up Rs. 10-20 worth of desi chowmein, chili potato and spring rolls. The explosion of flavours and textures was a bliss when we used to go out after school with our friends. This robust and vibrant cuisine was the perfect compliment for the wide variety of Indian food available too! From the heavy and hot North Indian Tandoori snacks to the light and umami South Indian snacks. And nothing exemplifies this concoction of cuisines better than Masia, Indian. Asian. Cultures. THE AMBIENCE Masia, a venture by Sutra...

THE PRETTIEST PAN ASIAN CAFE IN CONNAUGHT PLACE - REVIEW - CHEW PAN ASIAN CAFE

Image
A Beautiful Ambience CHEW - PAN ASIAN CAFE, CONNAUGHT PLACE Connaught Place, the heart of the National Capital Region, hosts a number of beautiful places to eat at. However, with a plethora of pubs, lounges and bars, the simplicity of the beautiful Circular Marvel, that is Connaught Place, is lost. But Chew, a pan asian cafe, maintains this beauty with its pastel colors and vibrant natural lighting. The neutrality of the colors at Chew make it a brilliant place to dine in during the day as well as the night. AMBIENCE AND SERVICE The service at Chew is very friendly, the stewards always smile and are more than happy to help you. They're clad in black, like ninjas, waiting to strike with chopsticks and soy sauce. The place itself is pretty big, with two sections which are clearly visible in the cafe. One, near the inlet of light at the windows. This section is bright and appeals to all natural light lovers. It has grey/white/off-white tones to the tables and walls. ...

WHY GO OUT WHEN YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE?

Image
Since the beginning of time, there have been restaurants and there have been mothers who refuse to go to said restaurants because ' Bahar kyu khana jab ghar mei AC chala ke kha sakte ho?' But this very idea of ordering from a restaurant was a daunting task. Just the thought of talking to a random stranger and telling him that you want a Naan without Butter sent shivers down my spine. However, online ordering changed the entire game. You place your order over the internet and you can even pay online! This cutshorts your interaction with any human being to just 3 seconds, from when you open the door to taking the food from the delivery person. (INTROVERTS REJOICE SILENTLY) There is no chance of getting your order or address wrong, and if you do, the service of these online food ordering apps is brilliant. Getting a refund has never been easier. The sort of warm food with kind of soggy fries is worth sitting in the comfort of your own home. However, with su...

PING ME MAYBE - Review - Ping's Cafe Orient

Image
PING'S CAFE ORIENT, LODHI COLONY Authentic Asian food in New Delhi has been ruined by what locals call Indian-Chinese food. Ramen, Dimsums and Wonton Rolls have been replaced by Chowmein, Momos and Spring Rolls. This debate about what is better: Authentic or Adapted, will carry on for ages. But to fight for the Authentic Agents, we have the lightheavyweight champion from Lodhi Colony, Ping's Cafe Orient. THE AMBIENCE Ping's is a beautiful cafe-esque Asian restaurant in the very geometrically sound Lodhi Colony. Ping's prides itself on healthy Asian cuisine and it looks the part too. With shades of red and yellow to take you to some little diner in the orient. There are neon signs on the walls with Ping Puns like "Ping Me Maybe" and more. The decor makes the place look even more authentic. There is also an upstairs seating area where people can have a smoke. The upstairs area is well lit and is beautiful too. A very fresh aura to...
