The Perfect Indian and Asian Fusion: MASIA - Indian. Asia. Cultures, Noida Review

Image
MASIA -  SECTOR 38, NOIDA New Delhi, and the NCR, is no stranger to the influx of gastronomical inputs from other parts of the world. We have embraced whatever cultural inputs we've had from the various cuisines. But one particular cuisine has hit us hard ever since late 2000s. Before the Italian, Portuguese, American Tex-Mex, or even Middle-Eastern foods came to the streets of Delhi, there was good old Asian. Remembering the street side stalls of vendors tossing up Rs. 10-20 worth of desi chowmein, chili potato and spring rolls. The explosion of flavours and textures was a bliss when we used to go out after school with our friends. This robust and vibrant cuisine was the perfect compliment for the wide variety of Indian food available too! From the heavy and hot North Indian Tandoori snacks to the light and umami South Indian snacks. And nothing exemplifies this concoction of cuisines better than Masia, Indian. Asian. Cultures. THE AMBIENCE Masia, a venture by Sutra...

THE MOST ROMANTIC PLACE TO HAVE TEA AT!

Image
For ages your friends might have been promising you chai pe charcha but somehow you never got around to pick a place. Well, this beautiful, clean and vibrant place in Sainik Farms is serving a A MILLION types of tea! Well, not a million but you get the point. Over 50 from what I could count. The Red Kettle  is a beautiful outlet opposite Champa Gali next to Saket Metro Station. It has a beautiful walk way that is beautifully lit and has the feel of a romantic movie. Let's say everything that is NOT a Yash Raj Film. To begin with, we ordered the popcorn chicken . Served on skewers, these little pops of flavour were served with a yogurt dip which was fresh and light and vibrant! Perfect pairing with the popcorn chicken! The food at The Red Kettle is fresh and so full of flavour. The Masala Fries were perhaps the best french fries I've had in 2019. The fries were crisp on the outside and ever so soft on the inside. The hot sauce served with the fries and ...

THIS PLACE IN GURGAON IS FRESH AF!

Image
FRESC CO, GURGAON Malls are a tough cookie to crack. Your girlfriend makes you walk around all day, holding her bags in one hand while she sips on a Latte Grande from Starbucks, which she got just to walk around with the cup in her hand. Now, when she's tired of clicking photos in the trial rooms of expensive brands and getting those photos to Jawahar Bhaiya in Saket to stitch the exact same thing in a quarter of the price, you guys need a place to eat. But a mall is littered with fast food joints that just don't make the cut, and high-end restaurants that all look the same. WHAT A DILEMMA! But Fresc Co is here to solve all your problems by offering quite possibly the cleanest, freshest and healthiest food in Ambience Mall, in Gurgaon. Fresc Co looks like its straight out of some teenage girl's dream of Santorini, Greece. The beautiful white ambiance and clean decor makes sure you're ready to step away from the Lachha Paranthas and Dal Makhanis. A...

THE ONLY THING MISSING IS THE SERVERS DOING BHANGRA IN THIS DESI PUNJABI THEMED RESTAURANT

Image
DHABA - A PUNJABI THEME I've always been amazed by the very idea of dining raw, dining ethnic, dining desi. The best possible experience I've had of dining like that would be in Chowki Dhani in Jaipur. And it is really tough to recreate that experience of getting close to our desi roots. However, this beautiful joint in Rajouri Garden states it plain and simple right in its name. Dhaba - A Punjabi Theme is, as the beautifully thought of name that must have taken them ages to think of suggests, a Punjabi Themed restaurant that looks like a Dhaba. MIND = BLOWN. Well, the name is a spoiler for what awaits you inside, but the door of the place is very distinct. It has two massive statues of what seem to be Pharaohs. Well, okay, Punjab may have had Pharaohs for all we know but we were too busy focusing on the Bhangra. Dhaba has a dining hall on two floors and a banquet/ party hall as well. The dining hall that we sat in was very homely. It felt like we were at our Ludh...

AN AFFAIR WITH AWADH - Review - Awadhi Affair

Image
AWADHI AFFAIR, GREATER KAILASH 1 The first month of 2018 gives you the perfect opportunity to check things off of your bucket list. Awadhi Affair in GK had been on my list ever since my sister started sending photos of their food on "Humara Parivar". (Don't judge. Every family has a WhatsApp group.) And I did get a chance to order last night and boy were the portions amazing. For a family of four, any 4 dishes plus breads would be perfect. You might want to take into consideration that there will be food left over for the next day as well. Coming to the packing of the food itself, it was, honestly, one of the best I have ever seen. Everything came nicely tucked into a cardboard parcel which seemed spillproof. And further, the individual items were in microwavable, spill proof containers as well. They really hate spills I guess. But damn, it took us some effort to finally get to our food. STOP MAKING ME WAIT AWADHI AFFAIR. But was the wait worth it...
