IT'S BROADWAY BABY - Review - Broadway, Radisson Blu

Image
BROADWAY - RADISSON BLU, FARIDABAD When you hear Radisson Blu, you think of the luxiries of a presidential suite and the fine furnished lobbies. But people don't realise that there is so much more than meets the eye at Radisson Blu in Faridabad. Their brilliant buffet at Broadway offers a vast selection of cuisines for customers to choose from. It's a fine example of all-things-nice.  Radisson Blu is located right next to Bata Chowk metro station on the Violet Line of the Delhi Metro. Broadway is on the ground floor itself, to the right of the entry gate of the hotel. THE AMBIENCE You cannot help but feel warm inside with mild hues of blue and tones of brown running across the restaurant. It is a brilliantly colored eatery with a very clear emphasis on the freshness of the restaurant with the amount of natural light they let in. Massive windows for the customers to see through and bask in the glory of the food they're being served. Thei...

WHY GO OUT WHEN YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE?

Image
Since the beginning of time, there have been restaurants and there have been mothers who refuse to go to said restaurants because ' Bahar kyu khana jab ghar mei AC chala ke kha sakte ho?' But this very idea of ordering from a restaurant was a daunting task. Just the thought of talking to a random stranger and telling him that you want a Naan without Butter sent shivers down my spine. However, online ordering changed the entire game. You place your order over the internet and you can even pay online! This cutshorts your interaction with any human being to just 3 seconds, from when you open the door to taking the food from the delivery person. (INTROVERTS REJOICE SILENTLY) There is no chance of getting your order or address wrong, and if you do, the service of these online food ordering apps is brilliant. Getting a refund has never been easier. The sort of warm food with kind of soggy fries is worth sitting in the comfort of your own home. However, with su...

PING ME MAYBE - Review - Ping's Cafe Orient

Image
PING'S CAFE ORIENT, LODHI COLONY Authentic Asian food in New Delhi has been ruined by what locals call Indian-Chinese food. Ramen, Dimsums and Wonton Rolls have been replaced by Chowmein, Momos and Spring Rolls. This debate about what is better: Authentic or Adapted, will carry on for ages. But to fight for the Authentic Agents, we have the lightheavyweight champion from Lodhi Colony, Ping's Cafe Orient. THE AMBIENCE Ping's is a beautiful cafe-esque Asian restaurant in the very geometrically sound Lodhi Colony. Ping's prides itself on healthy Asian cuisine and it looks the part too. With shades of red and yellow to take you to some little diner in the orient. There are neon signs on the walls with Ping Puns like "Ping Me Maybe" and more. The decor makes the place look even more authentic. There is also an upstairs seating area where people can have a smoke. The upstairs area is well lit and is beautiful too. A very fresh aura to...

CLASSICS NEVER DIE - SANDOZ - REVIEW

Image
SANDOZ, CONNAUGHT PLACE First, let me tell you about the first time my friend told me she's going to Sandoz with her family. I'd heard about the place and seen its boards throughout Connaught Place and I told her "Isn't that the place that is trying to copy Nandos with the name?" And she told me "No, it's a pretty good family restaurant." This is probably the idea most people have when it comes to unknown classics throughout the capital of the nation. Sandoz has been serving up great Indian food in the heart of Delhi, Connaught Place since forever. And it shows in the kind of food they serve as well as the simplicity of the place. THE AMBIENCE Sandoz has a very warm tone to the colors of the place. There are multiple paintings and portraits of yesteryear and the tables and chairs to match. The uniform of the waiters is a simple shirt and pants whilst they serve you with the brightest smile you've ever seen. It feels like yo...

NO MELODRAMA AT MEAL-O-DRAMA - REVIEW

Image
MEAL-O-DRAMA, THE MODERN BISTRO - RAJOURI GARDEN The stretch between Rajouri Garden and Tagore Garden is loaded with restaurants that aim to attract the eyes of potential customers. Some have massive hoardings, some blast music, while some stick to the basics, the food. Meal-o-drama aims to aquire, and retain, customers by offering them a brilliant all round experience as soon as they walk in. THE AMBIENCE In very simple words, Meal-o-drama is beautiful. The place has a very soothing, dim lighting while the DJ plays slow, yet fresh, music. There are two seating areas, one on the inside with club-esque lighting and a projector screen. During lunch hours, there was live music as well! The area beyond two glass doors is very classy. The flooring is stone and there are full-walled windows which let you see the busy Rajouri Garden market on the outside. THE MEAL The menu at Meal-o-drama is vast! And let me tell you, the choices offered within the cuisines they serve ...
