JUST WOK IT, GREEN PARK The one thing that surprises me about Delivery Restaurants is their ability to get you your food hot and packaged perfectly well, no matter where you are and what your order is. The same was the case with Just Wok It in Green Park. This brilliant Asian Delivery outlet has a variety of things on offer and that variety is expressed specially through their signature Make Your Own Box. They offer the choice to make a massive box containing a base, sauce, vegetables, protein and add ons. Now, what I ordered was pretty damn amazing. And given it's spice, it was perfect for this winter. YOUNG WILD FREE CAFE, SATYANIKETAN Satyaniketan is now overburdened with responsibility. Given that it has its twin in GTB Nagar at North Campus, Satyaniketan has become the hub for eateries in South Campus of the University of Delhi. Everyday, thousands of students walk through the lanes of the market. New eateries pop up every other day and some fail miserably, but this one has made its presence known by probably combining everything good about the other cafes under one roof. THE AMBIENCE Young Wild Free Cafe is a tad bit hard to find, given that it is on the first floor right at the end of the lane at Satyaniketan. A narrow stairway that leads up to a slide up door is really underwhelming. The stairway leading up the cafe is squeaky and wobbles when you step on it, making you think you're going to fall. MY BAR HEADQUARTERS, CONNAUGHT PLACE Now, I don't drink or smoke, but I do enjoy the company of my dear friends. Thus, after hours of thinking about which place is spacious enough to accomodate 15 people on the go, we finally decided to climb up multiple fights of stairs to reach a timid little entrance way which opened up to a MASSIVE hall-esque place with neon boards hosting brand names and a dark EDM theme to the entire place. If you're in a Tandoori Momos Cult, you HAVE to try the ones they serve at QDs. Whether you like it or not, is a different story in the book. I don't want to make this review about the battle of Tandoori Momos in Delhi, but I have to. Because of the polarizing power of these maida-balls of goodness. A single person WILL NOT like both, the ones from QDs and the ones from Hunger Strike. There is a stark difference in the way both are prepared. QDs serves 6 pieces for 150 bucks. Pieces that are massive and dry. But will fill you up nonetheless. Hunger Strike, on the other hand, bathes it's Tandoori Momos in Ghee, Cream and all the tandoori goodness you associate with typical North Indian Tikka-Shikkas. 8 small, but heavy and creamy, pieces that will fill you up too.
