TU CHIIZ BADI HAI MAST - Review - Abongchiiz

Abongchiiz Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

ABONGCHIIZ, GTB NAGAR

Abongchiiz, a very uniquely named restaurant, is right next to Sambookas and opposite the newly opened Cantino. However, I've not tried those other outlets because Abongchiiz has me coming there multiple times! It's located right next to Tata Power DLL. It's a lovely little place with 2 floors of seating and a terrace as well. The view from the terrace isn't spectacular, but it is well worth the fresh air.

THE SERVICE AND AMBIENCE

The service there is fantastic, with the staff greeting you as soon as you step through their door. They guide you to the floor available as well. Now, the first floor has a few tables with mattresses for you to sit on the floor on. Which is a very chill kind of way to sit. I'd love that if I was there with a loved one. However, if you're there with a small group of friends, I'd prefer the second floor! Which has tables and chairs BUT ALSO JENGA!

There's a window too, through which you can see Hudson Lane, all lit up. They have Jenga and Carrom for customers to play as long as they want to! Finally, the terrace has 6 tables, each of varied capacity. But the fresh air invites most people there. But then, again, the smoke of Hookah is a bit of a no-no for non-users.

THE FOOD

Coming to the food, I've been here twice and have had pizzas and pastas. The food looks amazing! The portions are brilliant and the taste is on the 8/10 scale as well!

The Angry Hungry Pasta has probably the tastiest sauce EVER. It's a spicy, peri peri sauce cooked with red chilies. CAN YOU BEAT THE HEAT? CAN YOU? DO YOU HAVE THE BALLS BRUH? Worth a shot!

The Milano Pasta is a mixed sauce pasta, cooked with Corn and Seetafal. Very big chunky pieces of seetafal that you have to avoid.

All Pastas are served with garlic bread and have a choice of Penne or Spaghetti. I'd rather go for the Spaghetti because, honestly, you get more!

Fredy's Diet Pizza was a meaty pizza! With grilled chicken, sausage, salami and meatballs! However, the toppings did look fewer than what we imagined after reading the menu. Would definitely go for a higher costing pizza next time.

• Captain Planet (Yeh hai hero, pradushan mitaake kardenge zero) was a spicy vegetarian pizza. Made with red peppers, jalepenos and paprika! The chilli wasn't as strong on this one as I imagined.

Both pizzas were somewhere between thin crust and hand tossed. Do add some extra cheese to make it worth your time there.

THE VERDICT

In conclusion, Abongchiiz is a very nice and cosy place to go with your friends to. And with the addition of Zomato Gold, you can get a dish free with your meal! That has been a major reason for my visits to this place. There is still some scope for improvement.
