AN AFFAIR WITH AWADH - Review - Awadhi Affair

Image
AWADHI AFFAIR, GREATER KAILASH 1 The first month of 2018 gives you the perfect opportunity to check things off of your bucket list. Awadhi Affair in GK had been on my list ever since my sister started sending photos of their food on "Humara Parivar". (Don't judge. Every family has a WhatsApp group.) And I did get a chance to order last night and boy were the portions amazing. For a family of four, any 4 dishes plus breads would be perfect. You might want to take into consideration that there will be food left over for the next day as well. Coming to the packing of the food itself, it was, honestly, one of the best I have ever seen. Everything came nicely tucked into a cardboard parcel which seemed spillproof. And further, the individual items were in microwavable, spill proof containers as well. They really hate spills I guess. But damn, it took us some effort to finally get to our food. STOP MAKING ME WAIT AWADHI AFFAIR. But was the wait worth it

164592720 COMBINATIONS POSSIBLE - Review - Just Wok It

JUST WOK IT, GREEN PARK The one thing that surprises me about Delivery Restaurants is their ability to get you your food hot and packaged perfectly well, no matter where you are and what your order is. The same was the case with Just Wok It in Green Park. This brilliant Asian Delivery outlet has a variety of things on offer and that variety is expressed specially through their signature Make Your Own Box. They offer the choice to make a massive box containing a base, sauce, vegetables, protein and add ons. Now, what I ordered was pretty damn amazing. And given it's spice, it was perfect for this winter. I had the following combination: Hakka Noodles Chicken Broccoli, Shiitake Mushrooms, Red Pepper Sizzling Fury Sauce Sesame Seeds The spice in the box was just right. Leaving me and my friend gasping for a breath of clean un-spiced air. We knew our buttholes would face the wrath of the Sizzling Fury the day after, but it was all worth it. The

ORIGINATOR OF TANDOORI MOMOS? - Review - QDs Restaurant

Image
QDs RESTAURANT, LAJPAT NAGAR 2 Satyaniketan and GTB Nagar have really been the two markets where budget cafes and restaurants really flourish. QDs, a very well known student eatery, already has well established restaurants in the two aforementioned locations as well as one in Laxmi Nagar. The very successful franchise has now come to the hustle and bustle of Lajpat Nagar 2's Central Market. A prime location for any restaurant to flourish. However, as history suggests, the building they are in isn't very friendly. No other restaurant or cafe has stayed there for more than two years, the latest example being Starbucks that closed down prior to QDs being set up here. Maybe things end up better for QDs! I have been to QDs Restaurant a number of times since its opening, mainly due to the fact that the place is close by. Also, the food is cheap and it is lipsmacking! I'm writing this review only after close retrospect of all visits. THE AMBIENCE QDs Re

THE HOME OF WAFFLES - Review - The Waffle House

Image
THE WAFFLE HOUSE, SHALIMAR BAGH The past few years have seen a gust of innovation and change sweep over Delhi. Two years ago it was Momos, lately it has been Waffles! With a store selling these hot, fresh baked pockets of delish around every corner. One such outlet is The Waffle House at BB Block of Shalimar Bagh. THE AMBIENCE I visited The Waffle House on a freezing winter evening, with the skies dark and the wind chilling me to my core. But the fun, vibrant and warm appeal of The Waffle House made us sit on the chairs outside the outlet. The bright yellow of the place gave out a pretty positive vibe and warmed me up real nice. They played some pretty good music as well! Including Ed Sheeran and Justin Beiber (the good kind, not Baby for the love of all that's sacred and holy). There is a false grass carpet laid out the outlet and it adds to the chilled out ambience of the place. Adding to the festive season, they'd put out a Christmas Tree with d
