SUSHI DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR DOORSTEP!

SUSHIYA

As my dear friend once said, Sushi has always been amazing. The aura around this classic Japanese dish has been built up by years of seeing it on Television, in movies and in cartoons! Just the thought of something being so popular in the eastern civilization was enough to make me try this wonderful dish.

I have had sushi before a number of times and that is why, today, I really love it. It's light, clean and tastes fresh everytime I have it. But my friends who try it for the first time almost want to puke. It is really an acquired taste. The sticky rice, the seaweed roll and the protein inside it make it a very complex dish. And then there's the pain of teaching my friends how to use the chopsticks. They end up stabbing the food with it and using it like a fork. Sigh. Neanderthals.

I found this wonderful delivery outlet, Sushiya, in Malviya Nagar that was happily delivering Sushi to homes! And I went on ahead and placed an order for my family to try this some authentic Japanese Cuisine as well.

The food arrived right on time and the packaging was beautiful and clean. Plenty of Wasabi, Kimchi and Soy Sauce was delivered along with it in cute little bottles.

Now, I know there would be a lot of abstaining from eating Sushi, so I ordered some familiar dishes. Like fried chicken skewers and dumplings. The Yasai Gyoza Dumplings and the Chicken Katsu Fingers were the safest bets. The chicken fingers were crips and hot and were served with a light sweet sauce. The dumplings were loaded with vegetables and had strong hit of garlic.

Now, the main event, the dish that everybody was dreading to eat, the sushi. I ordered the Veg Maki Box and the Nonveg Fusion Box.  Served beautifully with some julienned carrots, radish and cucumber, the boxes were presented beautifully.

The Veg Maki Box had rolls covered in sesame seeds and stuffed with Asparagus, Mushroom, Corn, Avacado and Cucumber. But all of them were fresh and clean. My mother loved the rice! She was in awe of how someone can make rice which is not like hers and still make it taste good!

The Fusion Box had some California Rolls, Philadelphia Rolls and Prawn Tempura rolls. The California Roll has some crab and cucumber, the Philadelphia Roll has Salmon and Cream Cheese while the Prawn Tempura roll has some deep fried crispy prawns. The Sushi was filling and tasted just right.

THE VERDICT

If you are looking to try sushi for the first time ever and don't want to step out the house, Sushiya is a great option. You get the food delivered right to your doorstep with all the added essentials to make your meal a complete Japanese experience.
