BROADWAY - RADISSON BLU, FARIDABAD

When you hear Radisson Blu, you think of the luxiries of a presidential suite and the fine furnished lobbies. But people don't realise that there is so much more than meets the eye at Radisson Blu in Faridabad. Their brilliant buffet at Broadway offers a vast selection of cuisines for customers to choose from. It's a fine example of all-things-nice.

Radisson Blu is located right next to Bata Chowk metro station on the Violet Line of the Delhi Metro. Broadway is on the ground floor itself, to the right of the entry gate of the hotel.

THE AMBIENCE

You cannot help but feel warm inside with mild hues of blue and tones of brown running across the restaurant. It is a brilliantly colored eatery with a very clear emphasis on the freshness of the restaurant with the amount of natural light they let in. Massive windows for the customers to see through and bask in the glory of the food they're being served.

Their decor is pretty simplistic as well, with minimal artwork on the walls or ceiling, the restaurant has a fresh and vibrant vibe to it. Aiding this vibe, are the servers who're very polite. The service at the restaurant was quick and the stewards were very knowledgable about the dishes they were serving.

THE FOOD

The restaurant features a buffet meal as well as an add on a la carte menu to serve to all your whims and wishes. The buffet features a wide variety of items. Ranging from fresh Papdi Chaat to Russian Salad for starting off your meal to the classic Dahi Bhallas and Fresh Fruits.

There were Fresh Baked Breads served on the buffet counter as well as on the tables for diners. They also serve up some classic mocktails, which were on the house with the buffet. Further, with some emphasis on their brilliant Italian produce, I decided to place an order for the Pepperoni Pizza as well as some Spaghetti Bolognese. And was I surprised with the quality of the dishes. The crust on the Pepperoni Pizza was thin, yet had some punch to it. The toppings were plenty and the cheese was enough to bind it all together.

Next up, the Spaghetti Bolognese, which is Spaghetti in a meat based sauce, was spicy and packed plenty of flavour. The pasta was cooked perfectly and so was the sauce. It had a very good meaty profile to it and the spice level was decent. It did lack some garlic bread to soak up that meaty sauce right at the end. Could have been perfect.

Onwards to the main course, and Broadway had a, mostly, Indian spread of dishes. Dal Makhani, Palak Corn, Chicken Tikka Masala, Biryani, Indian Breads and Bhindi to name a few. They also had some Noodles and Manchurian for variety, but it was mostly Indian. But why diversify when you do the limited things you have so well?

The breads were soft and fluffy, while the curries were cooked perfectly well. The biryani was heartily topped with mutton and the dal was probably the best I've had in a long long time.

The desserts on offer were, again, plenty. They ranged from the classic Indian halwas to some continental masterpieces. Mousses, Cakes, Muffins, all present to give you a handsome number of options. But, then again, all so good. I loved every single one.

THE VERDICT

Radisson Blu is not only a fine hotel, but it hosts one of the finest places in Delhi/NCR to eat at. A few knick-knacks to work on, you do get a very pleasant experience at Broadway. If you are in the area, or staying at Radisson Blu itself, do give Broadway a visit. You'd love it!
