JUST WOK IT, GREEN PARK

The one thing that surprises me about Delivery Restaurants is their ability to get you your food hot and packaged perfectly well, no matter where you are and what your order is. The same was the case with Just Wok It in Green Park. This brilliant Asian Delivery outlet has a variety of things on offer and that variety is expressed specially through their signature Make Your Own Box.

They offer the choice to make a massive box containing a base, sauce, vegetables, protein and add ons. Now, what I ordered was pretty damn amazing. And given it's spice, it was perfect for this winter. I had the following combination:

  • Hakka Noodles
  • Chicken
  • Broccoli, Shiitake Mushrooms, Red Pepper
  • Sizzling Fury Sauce
  • Sesame Seeds


The spice in the box was just right. Leaving me and my friend gasping for a breath of clean un-spiced air. We knew our buttholes would face the wrath of the Sizzling Fury the day after, but it was all worth it. The massive chunks of chicken and the crunch of the sesame seeds made it a box made by God. Obviously, I made the box because I chose the contents. Now, let us do some math here (given that I do have a science background) with the number of possible combinations offered for the Make Your Own Box at Just Wok It.

You have a total of 11 bases being offered, including Hakka Noodles, Flat Noodles, Ramen and Rice. So our multiplier starts with 11. Next, you can choose 3 Vegetables from a total of 9. Which gives us an option of  9 choices for the first vegetable, and 8 choices for the second and 7 choices for the third; giving us a total of 504 possible combinations for vegetables. Multiplying that with the 11 for the base, we get 5544 combinatiions.

Now let's take into consideration the 8 choices for the protein and 6 for the sauces, giving us 2,66,112 combinations. Next, the oil, which has 5 options giving us 1330560 choices in total.

Finally, you can choose the add-ons, but given that they can be added any number of times, I'll only take into consideration that there is no repitition. So, for 6 addons, each of which can be picked individually as well, which totals up to 1237 choices. FINALLY multiplying that with the original 1330560 options, you get a total number of combinations as:

1,64,59,02,720

 WHICH IS A MASSIVE NUMBER COME TO THINK OF IT!



But all in all, the place is indeed a food joint and there are some things that lack. And the only flaw I found out was in their Lettuce Wrapped Chicken. The lettuce lost it's crunch and became ever so soggy. Did not expect it to have that foul texture.

In conclusion, the food is pretty damn good here. The authenticity of Asian Cuisine is preserved in the beautiful packing. The box is leakproof and the box they gave was microwave friendly. They also have a vibrant red bag and chopsticks to match! LOVED IT.
